Superresolution

Superresolution is a numerical filter, which in systems of linearly superimposed peaks converts broad peaks into narrow peaks without performing individual peak identification. Areas and positions of the norrowed peaks are conserved thereby.

For proper superresolution, these conditions must be fulfilled:

• Baseline is correct.
• All (or at least the very most) peaksignals are positive
• The average peakwidth is varying only slowly with position
• The individual peak widths do not deviate from from their 'position-average' by more than 40%..
